Professor Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba is a renowned Kenyan lawyer and activist with a career marked by various roles and achievements. He serves as the Director of the Kenya School of Law, where he plays a significant role in legal education. Furthermore, he led the training for aspiring lawyers in Kenya.

He formerly held the position of Director at the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission (KACC). Lumumba’s directorship spanned from July 2010 until August 2017. Throughout his term, the commission undertook several high-profile investigations, yet these did not lead to any notable criminal convictions.

Lumumba obtained his LLB and LLM degrees from the University of Nairobi. And his LLM thesis, concentrating on National Security and Fundamental Rights. He also holds a PhD in the Laws of the Sea from the University of Ghent in Belgium. His doctoral thesis examined Exclusive Economic Zones and the Delimitation of Maritime Boundaries also happened there.
